In the morning, we saw a fire!
We went to the car and packed up.
We went to my mom’s friend’s farm house.
On the way to the farm, we saw horses but no smoke. The farmhouse was very far away from the fires.
The next day, we came back. The neighbors were happy because their house didn’t burn down. Our house didn’t either!
We watched the news! The firefighters were putting red retardant and water on the fires. They used helicopters to drop water on the fire.
I feel bad for all the people who lost their homes.
